Ferpher Farms Returns to Bok Tower Gardens for Hands-On Microgreens Workshop on October 23

LAKE WALES, Fla. Ferpher Farms will return to Bok Tower Gardens on Friday, October 23, 2026, for The Magic of Microgreens, a hands-on workshop designed to help beginners, families, gardeners, and curious learners understand how to grow microgreens from seed to harvest.
The event is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Alexander Discovery Center at Bok Tower Gardens, 1151 Tower Boulevard in Lake Wales. Bok Tower Gardens describes the class as approximately 90 minutes plus Q&A.
Christopher and Jennifer Tolen of Ferpher Farms will guide participants through the practical basics of growing microgreens, including seed selection, growing media, watering, light, airflow, crop timing, harvesting, troubleshooting, and simple ways to use fresh microgreens in everyday meals.
The workshop will include a live growing demonstration, practical instruction, and a take-home microgreens growing kit so participants can continue growing after the class.
The program is designed to be approachable for beginners, families, gardeners, and curious learners.
“Our goal is to take something that can look complicated at first and make it practical enough that people leave knowing exactly how to start growing at home,” said Christopher Tolen of Ferpher Farms.
Bok Tower Gardens lists the workshop at $50 for members and $70 for non-members, including Gardens admission for the day. Registration is required. A small online processing fee applies.
